The Events Committee can help cultivate a more welcoming and enjoyable neighborhood with events and activities that promote a sense of community and inclusion when they:
• Plan and coordinate community events by organizing neighborhood activities like block parties, potlucks, community service projects, festivals, or holiday celebrations.
• Encourage resident participation efforts This could involve promoting events with the communication committee through social media, email, contributing to the newsletter or website about upcoming events or organizing volunteer opportunities with other committees.
• Manage event logistics. This could involve booking venues, securing permits, hiring vendors, and recruiting volunteers.
• Supervise event activities and volunteers by assigning tasks, providing training, and resolving any problems that may arise.
• Have fun! Organizing events should be enjoyable for the committee members as well as the residents.
• Evaluate the success of events. Collect feedback from residents, review financial records, and make recommendations for future events.
The Beautification Committee is one of the most important of our association. The foundation of this organization has always been neighbors working together to improve the appearance of our entrances. You can create a beautiful, welcoming, and cohesive appearance for the development by helping:
• Plan and coordinate beautification projects with the events committee. This could involve planting trees or organizing a community cleanup.
• Monitor the maintenance of common areas. Regularly inspection the lawn mowing, leaf removal, watering, weeding, trash removal, and installation of plants and flowers.
• Work with the association board to develop and implement beautification plans. The beautification team will research cost effective, sustainable planting options, collect contract bids from companies, and review potential contracts to present to the board.
• Administer a beautification budget. This involves tracking spending, getting new project approval, and seeking funding from other sources such as grants to ensure the development's appearance meets the association’s standards.
The Welcome Committee plays an important role in helping new homeowners feel comfortable and connected to our neighborhood. Members will assist the association by creating a positive experience for new residents and strengthen our overall community with warm welcomes, helpful information, and a sense of inclusion. Expectations of committee members include, but are not limited to:
• Greeting new homeowners and making them feel welcome. This could involve assembling and/or delivering a welcome bag, visiting the new homeowners in person, and inviting them to an association meeting or sponsored event.
• Providing information about the Alluvium Association and the community.
• The team will curate a collection of resources pertaining to the association, local businesses, schools, and parks.
• Foster a sense of community by extending an invitation to join our organization or one of our social clubs, events, or activities exclusively for Alluvium residents.

Serving as the liaison to the township is a strategic balancing act as the primary bridge between local government and the lived experience of our neighbors.
• Translate complex "township-speak" regarding zoning and infrastructure into actionable updates.
• Advocate for the neighborhood's collective interests.
• Cultivate direct relationships with municipal officials and navigating the inevitable red tape.
• Ensure our community remains a visible, high-priority stakeholder in the township’s broader decision-making process.
By effectively connecting with residents, the Communication Committee can help keep the Alluvium community informed, engaged, & connected. Committee members can expect to:
• Develop and implement a communication plan how the committee will communicate with residents, including the frequency of communication, the channels that will be used, and the types of information that will be shared.
• Create and distribute newsletters, email blasts, & other content that’s informative, engaging, and cover a variety of topics such as upcoming events, community news, & important announcements. The team will also be responsible for the design, distribution, and collection of association event signage.
• Maintain the association’s social media accounts and website. Ensure the website is up-to-date and the social media accounts are used exclusively for Alluvium residents to share important information and promote community events.
• Respond to resident inquiries submitted by mail, email, or online to ensure residents feel their concerns are being addressed.
• Communicate regularly with committee members as well as the executive committee in person, via Zoom, or by email.
• Give the committee clear responsibilities, goals, and expectations.
• Regularly communicate concerns, inquiries, & progress with the executive committee. This will ensure the activities align with the board's goals and objectives.
• Work with the treasurer to establish a budget for the committee, secure funding such as applying for local grants, fundraising, or seeking a prize or donations from businesses or residents.
• Strategize and work with other committee leaders to ensure proper delegation of tasks and utilization of assets.
• Track and report the committee's activities and report on its progress to the board when required. This will show how the committee is performing and to make sure that the committee is meeting its goals.
