GOT DEER?

I have lived in Alluvium for 18 years and have never seen deer in our neighborhood until last month.  As I was pulling out of my driveway on Bradford Way I saw a huge deer on my front lawn.  As I got closer he/she went around the back and into the woods between Bradford & Woodstone. The next week my wife Barb spotted deer on Chippingham and took this photo.

Have you had any deer sightings.  Let us know.

Who’s trashing our entrances?

Why do people think it is ok to throw their garbage out the windows when the enter or leave Alluvium.  I got tired of seeing the trash piling up at the Bradford entrance so I pulled over to the island over the weekend and picked up soda cups and bottles, pieces of paper, small liquor bottles like you get on the airplanes and the small square wrapper of something I will not mention here.

Is it teenagers, is it contractors that we are paying to work on our homes, or is it our own residents and neighbors?

I pay my Alluvium dues and am very proud of the way most of our entrances look and it is a disgrace to see what others have left behind.

Let us know if you see who’s responsible or maybe we can ask the Alluvium Association if it would make any sense to put a trash receptacle at the entrances.

I welcome your thoughts and comments.

Alluvium Entrance Sign at Rollingwood & Cooper

The Alluvium Association received a letter from a resident questioning why there is no Alluvium sign at the entrance to Rollingwood on Cooper.  There are beautiful wood signs at all the other entrances welcoming people into our neighborhood but not on Rollingwood.

What are your thoughts?  Should the possibility of adding a sign to this entrance be explored?

Signs are expensive but since most of the residents make an annual contribution to the Alluvium Association , then an additional entrance sign could be added to the budget.

Here is your opportunity to express your opinion.  What’s it going to be…YES or NO.
